MainOcean is a full service supply chain solution provider for import/export customers conducting business in and out of the Port of Charleston and surrounding areas. MainOcean offers warehousing, transloading, local transportation/drays and vessel services. Our main facility (5801 N. Rhett) offers storage for everyday cargo, with customs bonded and food-grade storage options. Additional services provided are value-added (kitting, assembly, fulfillment, packaging, etc.), an approved fumigation facility, FDA sampling site, reefer storage, USDA services, rapid cross-docks and damaged/shifted cargo re-works. Our secure, lighted, paved depot yard is perfect for project work such as flatrack, overweight, and out-of-gauge cargo, with in-container forklifts to 15,000 lbs, and yard lifts to 56,000 lbs. MainOcean offers inland transportation via partner logistics companies, a certified truck scale, and a vessel services division. Our aim is to provide our customers the convenience of having all their varied cargo requirements satisfied through the expediency of a single email email@example.com.
What regions do you serve?
MainOcean customers are primarily in the Southeast, but we also regularly ship cargo to the Midwest, Southwest, and to Mexico via Laredo, Texas. We anticipate initiating regular shipments to the West Coast in the near future.
What might we be surprised to know?
MainOcean has the ability to handle out-of-the-ordinary cargo. We handle most hazardous materials, of which have recently included antique/specialty cars, sailboats, helicopters, tractors, armored vehicles, and even nested cell phone towers. Our five acre depot yard allows us to accommodate a wide variety of project work.
