Ordnance Reach Turning Basin - Emergency Dive Ops
In an effort to recover their broken dredge spud, Southern Dredging Co. will be conducting dive operations in the Ordnance Reach Turning Basin between Lighted Buoy 60 (LLNR 2925) and Lighted Buoy 62 (LLNR 2930) in the vicinity of 32-54-22.8991N/079-56-59.0163W.
Dive operations are expected to commence at 7 a.m. on Tuesday June 5, 2018 and could continue through several tide cycles. The Dredge Cherokee, dive boats, and a 150 ft by 45 ft crane barge will be in the vicinity of the operation.
To ensure safe passage, mariners should establish contact with the dredge Cherokee on VHF marine channels 13 and 16.
