At 11:00 p.m. EDT on October 10, 2018 Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP) Charleston, South Carolina will set Port Condition YANKEE (Modified) for coastal South Carolina. Threatening winds (34 kts/39 mph) from Hurricane Michael are expected along the coast of South Carolina.
All oceangoing commercial vessels and oceangoing barges greater than 500 gross tons remaining in port must implement heavy weather mooring plans. Commercial vessel movements within the port are restricted unless authorized by the COTP.
