MARITIME ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH CAROLINA

Est. 1926

FOR THE MARITIME COMMERCE & LOGISTICS SECTOR

EMERGENCY INFORMATION CENTER

The Maritime Association of SC is proud to be a business partner of Emergency Responders in the region.

In the event of a natural or man-made disaster or incident that results in a disruption to port operations, a port closure or area evacuation, MASC will help disseminate information to maritime community members in an effort to get operations up and running again as quickly and efficiently as possible.  In such a scenario always check our News tab and Emergency Blast Emails for updates.

We recommend all businesses become familiar with the resource links below in case of a hurricane or evacuation.

PLANNING AND PREPAREDNESS

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reports that 61% of Americans have not created or practiced an emergency plan, even though 80% of Americans live in counties that have experienced natural disasters.

For small businesses, lack of Emergency Planning and Preparedness could result in financial catastrophe.

Use this link to review tips for emergency preparedness on a budget to ensure you are prepared when disaster strikes.
