CHARLESTON HARBOR POST 45:
-Entrance Channel Contract 1: GLDD to resume hopper dredging in December 2019 when turtle window opens.
-Entrance Channel Contract 2: GLDD suction cutter dredge TEXAS currently dredging in AS 5. Hopper dredges will resume work under Contract 2 when turtle window opens in December 2019.
-Lower Harbor Contract to Wando Welch Terminal (WWT): Awarded 19 Aug to Norfolk Dredging. Anticipate dredging to start in October.
-Lower Harbor Contract to Hugh Leatherman Terminal (HLT): Anticipate solicitation November 2019 pending alignment of federal funding.
-Upper Harbor Contract: Anticipate solicitation January 2020 pending alignment of federal funding.
CHARLESTON HARBOR O&M:
-FY19 CHARLESTON HARBOR UPPEER REACHES O&M: Anticipate award by end of August 2019 and dredging to start in October.
AIWW:
-FY18 AIWW CRITICAL SHOAL DREDGING WINYAH BAY TO CHARLESTON: Goodlow Finishing Shoal 1 Breach Inlet and Shoal 4 Graham Creek. Dredging in Shoal 5 Awendaw Creek ready to commence.

ATON Officer to reference Local Notice to Mariner’s
Charleston Harbor’s C-Bouy RACON is inoperable, USCG considering removal and replacement with synthetic solution.

BRIDGE – US 701 Construction and Demolition
PCL Construction has completed construction of the new US 701 Bridge over the Great Pee Dee River North of Georgetown, SC near the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge. PCL Construction is currently in the process of demolishing the old bridge and anticipate completing project in November 2019.
BRIDGE – US 21 Harbor River Replacement
United Infrastructure Group (UIG) have completed the preparatory phase of the project and have constructed a 1000ft x 40ft barge causeway in Beaufort, SC. UIG is currently pile driving in marsh and anticipate a November 2021 completion.
BRIDGE – Shem Creek Pedestrian Walkway
Cape Romaine is near completion of the project; however, have extended their deadline to September 23.
CONSTRUCTION – Hugh K. Leatherman Terminal
Cape Romaine has completed dredging of the wharf area as of July 2019. They are currently driving piles until December 2019 and anticipate pouring first concrete September 2019. South Carolina Port Authority anticipate new cranes to arrive April 2020, while operations at project site will continue through June 2020. First ship will follow, TBD.

- October 6 – Swim Around Charleston – From Patriots Point, around the peninsula then up the Ashley River to 526.
October 2019: Crane Delivery to Wando Terminal – Safety Zone
- October 24: Dead Ship Tow USN LA JOLLA – Moving Safety Zone – C buoy to navy base (approx. 0600 - 1200)
