    Course Description

Many organizations manufacturing and distributing illicit narcotics within the United States are specially trained to evade and deceive law enforcement officers when questioned. Gathering information from the lowest level dealer and then turning the information into action is the most effective means of infiltrating higher levels of drug networks and is successful in curbing the flow of drugs. Gathering accurate and predictive information through interviews and interrogations increases the success rates of identifying new targets and prosecution. This course is designed to enable federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement professionals to enhance their ability to gain information and determine the truth about illicit narcotics activity through the interview and interrogation process. It teaches specialized skills that enable detection of deception through non-verbal and verbal communication with both theory and practical application.

    USI INSURANCE SERVICES

A brief summary of your services will tell us...

USI Insurance Services is the nations’ largest privately held commercial P&C insurance broker. In 2017 USI acquired Wells Fargo Insurance Services, which included the office in West Ashely.

Specializing in the middle market, USI offers customized protection that benefits your bottom line. We offer practical, cost-effective risk management solutions. Thanks to our extensive knowledge and experience in many different industries, we can often identify risks and develop strategies that other property and casualty brokers may not have considered. We can help you protect your assets, lower your exposure to liability, and help improve your company’s financial position – all while reducing time spent handling insurance matters. Our Marine Practice Group focuses on mitigating exposures related to vessels, ports, cargo, contamination, warehousing, workers compensation, and more.

    What regions do you serve?

Our Charleston office can service accounts throughout the southeast. We have over 30 insurance and employee benefit professionals staffed with an average tenure of 20+ years.

What might surprise me about USI?

Our Charleston office’s door first opened in 1868. Since then there have been many acquisitions and names (including Heffron Ingle McDowell & Cooper, Palmer and Cay, Wachovia, Wells Fargo), and our office has grown commensurately over the years. The USI name may be new, but our office and the professionals who staff it have been in the marketplace for many years, and we have had the good fortune to insure many of the largest and well known businesses in the Lowcountry.
